After 200 Morphic Units, a narrative began to emerge. #212 shows an integration. There are no negative or positive emotions. Only the taming of some by others.
Asli Sonceley's “Morphic Units” began as art therapy and evolved into research in psychology. The intention of each piece is to unload busy thoughts on paper without expectations from the outcome. Each Morphic Unit is made of a single continuous line that returns to its starting point. In the folds, the artist observes the unfolding of her cognitive patterns and their correlation with the Earth's consciousness.
